Making wax melts: the basics

1. Melt your wax gently, following the guidance on the wax you are using.
2. Add fragrance oil – check the oil’s IFRA certificate for the most you can use, and match it to our CLP information at 10% or 25%.
3. Add colour or shimmer with candle dyes or mica powder. A little goes a long way, so test a small batch first.
4. Pour into clamshells or moulds and leave to set fully.
5. Label each pack with the hazard information, your business details and the net quantity. Our free CLP label creator makes a ready-to-print label for any of our fragrance oils.
