The scent

Halloween Treat Fragrance Oil is a wickedly playful blend that captures the magic and mischief of spooky season. Bursting with bold top notes of aniseed, liquorice, and blackcurrant, it opens with a darkly sweet twist before revealing a fruity heart of red apple and sun-ripened strawberry. The base lingers with smooth Madagascan vanilla, juicy raspberry, and black musk, creating a mysterious yet irresistible finish. Perfect for Halloween collections, autumnal candles, or sweet shop–inspired ranges, this enchanting scent also works beautifully year-round for lovers of bold, candy-like fragrances.

Questions

What does Halloween Treat fragrance oil smell like?

Fruity and sweet with aniseed, blackcurrant, apple, strawberry, vanilla, and black musk undertones. Top notes: aniseed, liquorice, blackcurrant. Heart: red apple, strawberry. Base: vanilla, raspberry, black musk.

How much Halloween Treat fragrance oil do I need for a candle?

Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Halloween Treat (about 9–18ml). The IFRA maximum for candles is 55%. The calculator above works it out for any size.

How much Halloween Treat should I use in wax melts?

Use 5–10% – that’s 5–10g of fragrance oil for every 100g of finished melts. Check the maximum your wax can hold.

Can I use Halloween Treat in a reed diffuser?

We don’t recommend it. The IFRA maximum for reed diffusers is only 0.47%, which is too low for a good scent throw.

Can I use Halloween Treat in soap, lotion or perfume?

  • Soap: not recommended (IFRA maximum 2.05%)
  • Body lotion: yes – 0.5–1.1% (IFRA maximum 1.1%)
  • Face cream: yes – 0.1–0.5% (IFRA maximum 3.1%)
  • Perfume: yes – 5–7% (IFRA maximum 7%)
  • Lip balm: not suitable

Soap, lotion and perfume are cosmetics, so each one needs a safety assessment (CPSR) before you sell it.

Is Halloween Treat fragrance oil hazardous?

Undiluted, Halloween Treat is classified under GB CLP with the signal word Warning:

  • H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction.
  • H411 Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Candles, wax melts and diffusers you make with it may need their own CLP label. Full details are in the Safety Data Sheet.

Is Halloween Treat fragrance oil flammable?

No. Its flash point is >100°C, so it isn’t classified as flammable. Like any fragrance oil, keep it away from naked flames.

Will Halloween Treat discolour my wax?

It may. Halloween Treat contains vanillin (0.11%), which can turn wax, soap and other bases cream to brown over time. Test before bulk pouring – see our vanillin guide.

Is there a CLP label for Halloween Treat?

Yes. Our free CLP label creator makes a ready-to-print label for candles and wax melts made with Halloween Treat. Safety Data Sheets, IFRA certificates and label files are in the documents above.

Are your fragrance oils vegan?

Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.

Can I use them in electric diffusers or oil burners?

Most can. Where suitable:

  • Electric diffusers – add a few drops to the water, adjusting to taste.
  • Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.

How do I use the 100ml bottles?

They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
