Lavender Escape Fragrance Oil
Floral-herbal with lavender, jasmine, rose, soft green notes, and powdery freshness.
The scent
Lavender Escape Fragrance Oil opens with the calming aroma of English lavender, immediately creating a sense of ease and gentle freshness. As the fragrance unfolds, fresh jasmine and soft wild rose blend seamlessly with a subtle hint of sweet basil, adding light floral depth and a natural, countryside character. The base settles into a smooth, powdery finish that feels clean, comforting, and quietly soothing. Tranquil and refined, this floral fragrance is especially well suited to spring and summer collections, capturing the peaceful charm of open fields and slow, restorative moments.

Questions
Common questions
What does Lavender Escape fragrance oil smell like?
Floral-herbal with lavender, jasmine, rose, soft green notes, and powdery freshness. Top notes: lavender. Heart: jasmine, wild rose, basil. Base: powder. It’s inspired by a well-known designer fragrance – see which one in our designer dupe chart.
How much Lavender Escape fragrance oil do I need for a candle?
Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Lavender Escape (about 10–21ml). There is no IFRA limit for candles. The calculator above works it out for any size.
How much Lavender Escape should I use in wax melts?
Use 5–10% – that’s 5–10g of fragrance oil for every 100g of finished melts. Check the maximum your wax can hold.
Can I use Lavender Escape in a reed diffuser?
We don’t recommend it. The IFRA maximum for reed diffusers is only 10%, which is too low for a good scent throw.
Can I use Lavender Escape in soap, lotion or perfume?
- Soap: yes – 3–6% (IFRA maximum 25.45%)
- Body lotion: yes – 0.5–1.5% (IFRA maximum 10.91%)
- Face cream: yes – 0.1–0.5% (IFRA maximum 7.09%)
- Perfume: yes – 5–20% (IFRA maximum 33.33%)
- Lip balm: not suitable
Soap, lotion and perfume are cosmetics, so each one needs a safety assessment (CPSR) before you sell it.
Is Lavender Escape fragrance oil hazardous?
Undiluted, Lavender Escape is classified under GB CLP with the signal word Danger:
- H315 Causes skin irritation.
- H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction.
- H318 Causes serious eye damage.
- H412 Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
Candles, wax melts and diffusers you make with it may need their own CLP label. Full details are in the Safety Data Sheet.
Is Lavender Escape fragrance oil flammable?
No. Its flash point is 75°C, so it isn’t classified as flammable. Like any fragrance oil, keep it away from naked flames.
Will Lavender Escape discolour my wax?
It’s unlikely. Lavender Escape contains no vanillin or ethyl vanillin, the most common cause of discolouration. Always test with your own wax and dyes.
Which designer fragrance is Lavender Escape inspired by?
Lavender Escape is inspired by a well-known designer fragrance. Find out which one in our designer dupe chart.
Is there a CLP label for Lavender Escape?
Yes. Our free CLP label creator makes a ready-to-print label for candles and wax melts made with Lavender Escape. Safety Data Sheets, IFRA certificates and label files are in the documents above.
Are your fragrance oils vegan?
Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.
Can I use Lavender Escape in an electric diffuser or oil burner?
Yes.
- Electric water diffusers (ultrasonic or humidifier style) – fill the tank with water to the line, then add 3–5 drops per 100ml of water. Start low and add more to taste.
- Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.
Important – look after your diffuser:
- Fragrance oils are concentrated, and some plastics used in diffuser tanks can soften, cloud or crack if oil is left sitting in them. This depends on the plastic the diffuser is made from. It happens with any concentrated fragrance or essential oil, not just ours.
- Empty the tank when you’ve finished. Don’t leave water and oil sitting in it between uses.
- Rinse and wipe the tank every few uses, as fragrance oils can leave a film.
- Check your diffuser’s instructions to make sure it is suitable for fragrance oils. If it says essential oils only, or doesn’t say, ask the maker before using it.
How do I use the 100ml bottles?
They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
