Spring Time Fragrance Oil
Green-herbal with citrus, fresh herbs, soft florals, pine, and clean musk.
The scent
Spring Time Fragrance Oil opens with a fresh, herbal blend of bright lemon, aromatic basil, armoise, and thyme, lifted by crisp green leaves for a clean, energising introduction. As the fragrance unfolds, pine needle weaves through soft rose and lily, adding natural floral depth with a cool, outdoorsy freshness. The base settles into dried flowers and gentle musk, creating a light, airy finish that feels calm and revitalising. Clean and botanical, this green fragrance is especially well suited to spring collections, capturing the feeling of a breezy morning filled with new growth and fresh air.

Questions
Common questions
What does Spring Time fragrance oil smell like?
Green-herbal with citrus, fresh herbs, soft florals, pine, and clean musk. Top notes: lemon, basil, armoise, thyme, green leaves. Heart: pine needle, rose, lily. Base: dried flowers, musk. It’s inspired by a well-known designer fragrance – see which one in our designer dupe chart.
How much Spring Time fragrance oil do I need for a candle?
Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Spring Time (about 10–20ml). The IFRA maximum for candles is 55%. The calculator above works it out for any size.
How much Spring Time should I use in wax melts?
Use 5–10% – that’s 5–10g of fragrance oil for every 100g of finished melts. Check the maximum your wax can hold.
Can I use Spring Time in a reed diffuser?
We don’t recommend it. The IFRA maximum for reed diffusers is only 0.47%, which is too low for a good scent throw.
Can I use Spring Time in soap, lotion or perfume?
- Soap: not recommended (IFRA maximum 2.05%)
- Body lotion: yes – 0.5–1.1% (IFRA maximum 1.1%)
- Face cream: yes – 0.1–0.5% (IFRA maximum 3.1%)
- Perfume: yes – 5–7% (IFRA maximum 7%)
- Lip balm: not suitable
Soap, lotion and perfume are cosmetics, so each one needs a safety assessment (CPSR) before you sell it.
Is Spring Time fragrance oil hazardous?
Undiluted, Spring Time is classified under GB CLP with the signal word Warning:
- H315 Causes skin irritation.
- H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction.
- H319 Causes serious eye irritation.
- H411 Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
Candles, wax melts and diffusers you make with it may need their own CLP label. Full details are in the Safety Data Sheet.
Is Spring Time fragrance oil flammable?
No. Its flash point is 96°C, so it isn’t classified as flammable. Like any fragrance oil, keep it away from naked flames.
Will Spring Time discolour my wax?
It’s unlikely. Spring Time contains no vanillin or ethyl vanillin, the most common cause of discolouration. Always test with your own wax and dyes.
Which designer fragrance is Spring Time inspired by?
Spring Time is inspired by a well-known designer fragrance. Find out which one in our designer dupe chart.
Is there a CLP label for Spring Time?
Yes. Our free CLP label creator makes a ready-to-print label for candles and wax melts made with Spring Time. Safety Data Sheets, IFRA certificates and label files are in the documents above.
Are your fragrance oils vegan?
Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.
Can I use Spring Time in an electric diffuser or oil burner?
Yes.
- Electric water diffusers (ultrasonic or humidifier style) – fill the tank with water to the line, then add 3–5 drops per 100ml of water. Start low and add more to taste.
- Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.
Important – look after your diffuser:
- Fragrance oils are concentrated, and some plastics used in diffuser tanks can soften, cloud or crack if oil is left sitting in them. This depends on the plastic the diffuser is made from. It happens with any concentrated fragrance or essential oil, not just ours.
- Empty the tank when you’ve finished. Don’t leave water and oil sitting in it between uses.
- Rinse and wipe the tank every few uses, as fragrance oils can leave a film.
- Check your diffuser’s instructions to make sure it is suitable for fragrance oils. If it says essential oils only, or doesn’t say, ask the maker before using it.
How do I use the 100ml bottles?
They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
