The Duke Fragrance Oil
Inspired by The Duke by Penhaligon’s, this aristocratic fragrance oil exudes eccentric charm and sophistication. It opens with a sharp flourish of pink pepper and gin-soaked juniper, evoking a dashing, well-heeled presence. At the heart, opulent rose mingles with powdery violet and earthy patchouli, creating a deeply floral core. The base lingers with warm leather, rich woods, and soft musk — a bold and unconventional blend that’s both noble and delightfully rebellious.

Can I use Pure Scented Fragrance Oils in electric diffusers or oil burners?
Yes! Our fragrance oils can be used in both electric diffusers and traditional oil burners:
- For electric diffusers, simply add a few drops of your chosen fragrance oil to the water. Adjust the number of drops to suit your scent strength preference.
- For oil burners, you can either mix the fragrance oil 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG) or add a few drops directly to water in the well of the burner.
How do I use 100ml fragrance oil bottles?
Our 100ml bottles now include a blind plug to help prevent leaks during shipping. To use:
- Pierce the centre of the plug with a pin, biro, or similar tool to use it as a dropper.
- Alternatively, remove the stopper, pour out the amount needed, and then replace the plug to minimise spillage.

I’m a huge fan of Penhaligon’s fragrances but probably, like most people, don’t have £200+ to spend on a bottle. The Duke is one of my favourites from the scent library I have, so I ordered a bottle from Pure Scented.
I’ve given it 3 stars because it’s a beautiful scent but smells absolutely nothing at all like the Penhaligon’s version. It’s not even close and that’s got nothing to do with the price either – it’s just a different scent entirely. That being said, it’s not a million miles off their Duchess Rose perfume and I love wearing it but I would be wary if you’re expecting it to smell similar to The Duke.
