What does Toasted Marshmallow fragrance oil smell like?

Sweet-gourmand with marshmallow, vanilla, and creamy strawberry undertones. Top notes: strawberry. Heart: marshmallow. Base: vanilla.

How much Toasted Marshmallow fragrance oil do I need for a candle?

Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Toasted Marshmallow (about 9–18ml). There is no IFRA limit for candles. The calculator above works it out for any size.

How much Toasted Marshmallow should I use in wax melts?

Use 5–10% – that’s 5–10g of fragrance oil for every 100g of finished melts. Check the maximum your wax can hold.

Can I use Toasted Marshmallow in a reed diffuser?

We don’t recommend it. The IFRA maximum for reed diffusers is only 18.86%, which is too low for a good scent throw.

Can I use Toasted Marshmallow in soap, lotion or perfume?

  • Soap: yes – 3–6% (IFRA maximum 18.86%)
  • Body lotion: yes – 0.5–1.5% (IFRA maximum 18.86%)

Is Toasted Marshmallow fragrance oil hazardous?

Undiluted, Toasted Marshmallow is classified under GB CLP with the signal word Warning:

  • H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction.
  • H412 Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Is Toasted Marshmallow fragrance oil flammable?

No. Its flash point is >100°C, so it isn’t classified as flammable. Like any fragrance oil, keep it away from naked flames.

Will Toasted Marshmallow discolour my wax?

It may. Toasted Marshmallow contains vanillin (0.07%), which can turn wax, soap and other bases cream to brown over time. Test before bulk pouring – see our vanillin guide.

Is there a CLP label for Toasted Marshmallow?

Are your fragrance oils vegan?

Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.

Can I use Toasted Marshmallow in an electric diffuser or oil burner?

Yes.

  • Electric water diffusers (ultrasonic or humidifier style) – fill the tank with water to the line, then add 3–5 drops per 100ml of water. Start low and add more to taste.
  • Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.

Important – look after your diffuser:

  • Fragrance oils are concentrated, and some plastics used in diffuser tanks can soften, cloud or crack if oil is left sitting in them. This depends on the plastic the diffuser is made from. It happens with any concentrated fragrance or essential oil, not just ours.
  • Empty the tank when you’ve finished. Don’t leave water and oil sitting in it between uses.
  • Rinse and wipe the tank every few uses, as fragrance oils can leave a film.
  • Check your diffuser’s instructions to make sure it is suitable for fragrance oils. If it says essential oils only, or doesn’t say, ask the maker before using it.

How do I use the 100ml bottles?

They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
