The scent

Lavender Green Fragrance Oil opens with the fresh, herbal clarity of natural lavender, immediately brightened by crisp eucalyptus and aromatic rosemary for a clean, invigorating lift. As the fragrance unfolds, soft green leaf notes add a gentle botanical freshness, keeping the blend airy and balanced. Earthy patchouli grounds the composition in the base, adding subtle depth and calm without heaviness. Clean, soothing, and naturally elegant, this herbal fragrance is especially well suited to spring and summer collections, evoking wild lavender fields carried on cool morning air.

Bath bombs, bath salts, shower gel and body scrubs use the soap limit (Cat 9). Not recommended means the IFRA limit is too low for a good scent, not that it is banned. No fragrance oil is approved for lip products.

Questions

Common questions

What does Lavender Green fragrance oil smell like?

Herbal-green with lavender, eucalyptus, rosemary, green leaves, and patchouli. Top notes: lavender, eucalyptus, rosemary. Heart: green leaf. Base: patchouli. See it in our Scent Match Guide.

How much Lavender Green fragrance oil do I need for a candle?

Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Lavender Green (about 10–20ml). There is no IFRA limit for candles. The calculator above works it out for any size.

How much Lavender Green should I use in wax melts?

Use 5–10% – that’s 5–10g of fragrance oil for every 100g of finished melts. Check the maximum your wax can hold.

Can I use Lavender Green in a reed diffuser?

Yes. Use 15–25% Lavender Green in a reed diffuser base such as Augeo Clean Multi. The IFRA maximum is 64.58%. Ready-made reed diffuser CLP labels and an SDS are in the documents above.

Can I use Lavender Green in soap, lotion or perfume?

  • Soap: yes – 3–6% (no IFRA limit)
  • Body lotion: yes – 0.5–1.5% (IFRA maximum 18.47%)
  • Face cream: yes – 0.1–0.5% (IFRA maximum 18.47%)
  • Perfume: yes – 5–20% (IFRA maximum 73.91%)
  • Lip balm: not suitable

Soap, lotion and perfume are cosmetics, so each one needs a safety assessment (CPSR) before you sell it.

Is Lavender Green fragrance oil hazardous?

Undiluted, Lavender Green is classified under GB CLP with the signal word Danger:

  • H315 Causes skin irritation.
  • H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction.
  • H318 Causes serious eye damage.
  • H360 May damage fertility or the unborn child.
  • H411 Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Candles, wax melts and diffusers you make with it may need their own CLP label. Full details are in the Safety Data Sheet.

Is Lavender Green fragrance oil flammable?

No. Its flash point is 70°C, so it isn’t classified as flammable. Like any fragrance oil, keep it away from naked flames.

Will Lavender Green discolour my wax?

It’s unlikely. Lavender Green contains no vanillin or ethyl vanillin, the most common cause of discolouration. Always test with your own wax and dyes.

Is Lavender Green in the Scent Match Guide?

Yes – see Lavender Green in our Scent Match Guide, which suggests our oils for fragrances you may already enjoy.

Is there a CLP label for Lavender Green?

Yes. Our free CLP label creator makes a ready-to-print label for candles and wax melts made with Lavender Green, and for reed diffusers. Safety Data Sheets, IFRA certificates and label files are in the documents above.

Are your fragrance oils vegan?

Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.

Can I use Lavender Green in an electric diffuser or oil burner?

Yes.

  • Electric water diffusers (ultrasonic or humidifier style) – fill the tank with water to the line, then add 3–5 drops per 100ml of water. Start low and add more to taste.
  • Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.

Important – look after your diffuser:

  • Fragrance oils are concentrated, and some plastics used in diffuser tanks can soften, cloud or crack if oil is left sitting in them. This depends on the plastic the diffuser is made from. It happens with any concentrated fragrance or essential oil, not just ours.
  • Empty the tank when you’ve finished. Don’t leave water and oil sitting in it between uses.
  • Rinse and wipe the tank every few uses, as fragrance oils can leave a film.
  • Check your diffuser’s instructions to make sure it is suitable for fragrance oils. If it says essential oils only, or doesn’t say, ask the maker before using it.

How do I use the 100ml bottles?

They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
