Birch Smoke Fragrance Oil
Smoky-woody with birch, incense, chestnut, leather, oakmoss, cedarwood, patchouli, and musk.
The scent
Birch Smoke Fragrance Oil opens with the smoky richness of smouldering birch wood and aged incense, softened by the sweetness of glazed chestnut. The heart reveals a blend of cashmere woods, supple leather, and earthy oakmoss, adding depth, warmth, and rustic charm. As it settles, cedarwood, patchouli, and soft musk linger like the fading embers of a crackling fire. A sophisticated woody fragrance that evokes cosy evenings, fireside stillness, and quiet elegance — perfect for autumn and winter candles, log cabin wax melts, and warm, comforting diffuser blends.

Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.
Can I use Birch Smoke in an electric diffuser or oil burner?
Yes.
- Electric water diffusers (ultrasonic or humidifier style) – fill the tank with water to the line, then add 3–5 drops per 100ml of water. Start low and add more to taste.
- Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.
Important – look after your diffuser:
- Fragrance oils are concentrated, and some plastics used in diffuser tanks can soften, cloud or crack if oil is left sitting in them. This depends on the plastic the diffuser is made from. It happens with any concentrated fragrance or essential oil, not just ours.
- Empty the tank when you’ve finished. Don’t leave water and oil sitting in it between uses.
- Rinse and wipe the tank every few uses, as fragrance oils can leave a film.
- Check your diffuser’s instructions to make sure it is suitable for fragrance oils. If it says essential oils only, or doesn’t say, ask the maker before using it.
How do I use the 100ml bottles?
They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
Customer questions 1
Can I use it in an electric water diffuser
Yes. Birch Smoke fragrance oil works in an electric water diffuser (ultrasonic diffuser or humidifier style).
How to use it: fill the tank with water to the line, then add 3–5 drops of Birch Smoke per 100ml of water. Start low and add a drop or two more if you want a stronger smoky, woody scent.
- Empty the tank when you've finished. Don't leave water and oil sitting in it between uses.
- Rinse and wipe the tank every few uses, as fragrance oils can leave a film.
- Check your diffuser's instructions to make sure it is suitable for fragrance oils. If it says essential oils only, or doesn't say, ask the maker before using it.
Other tips:
- The neat oil can cause an allergic skin reaction, so wipe up any drips and wash your hands after use.
A 10ml bottle gives roughly 200 drops, so it lasts a long time in a diffuser.
