Enchanted Fragrance Oil

Fruity-gourmand with cherry, mixed berries, soft florals, amber, musk, and woody undertones. Top notes: citrus, sugar. Heart: black cherry, strawberry, apple, jasmine. Base: amber, musk, woods. It’s inspired by a well-known designer fragrance – see which one in our designer dupe chart.

Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Enchanted (about 10–19ml). There is no IFRA limit for candles. The calculator above works it out for any size.

Use 5–10% – that’s 5–10g of fragrance oil for every 100g of finished melts. Check the maximum your wax can hold.

We don’t recommend it. The IFRA maximum for reed diffusers is only 5%, which is too low for a good scent throw.

Soap, lotion and perfume are cosmetics, so each one needs a safety assessment (CPSR) before you sell it.

Undiluted, Enchanted is classified under GB CLP with the signal word Warning:

• H226 Flammable liquid and vapour.
• H315 Causes skin irritation.
• H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction.
• H319 Causes serious eye irritation.
• H361 Suspected of damaging fertility or the unborn child.
• H412 Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Yes. Its flash point is 53°C, so it is classified as flammable. Keep it away from heat, sparks and naked flames.

It may. Enchanted contains vanillin (0.01%), which can turn wax, soap and other bases cream to brown over time. Test before bulk pouring – see our vanillin guide.

Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.

Yes.

• Electric water diffusers (ultrasonic or humidifier style) – fill the tank with water to the line, then add 3–5 drops per 100ml of water. Start low and add more to taste.
• Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.

Important – look after your diffuser:

• Fragrance oils are concentrated, and some plastics used in diffuser tanks can soften, cloud or crack if oil is left sitting in them. This depends on the plastic the diffuser is made from. It happens with any concentrated fragrance or essential oil, not just ours.
• Empty the tank when you’ve finished. Don’t leave water and oil sitting in it between uses.
• Rinse and wipe the tank every few uses, as fragrance oils can leave a film.
• Check your diffuser’s instructions to make sure it is suitable for fragrance oils. If it says essential oils only, or doesn’t say, ask the maker before using it.

They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
