Questions

What does Peppermint Creams fragrance oil smell like?

Sweet-gourmand with peppermint, chocolate, vanilla, and sugar undertones. Top notes: peppermint. Heart: chocolate. Base: vanilla, sugar.

How much Peppermint Creams fragrance oil do I need for a candle?

Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Peppermint Creams (about 9–18ml). There is no IFRA limit for candles. The calculator above works it out for any size.

How much Peppermint Creams should I use in wax melts?

Use 5–10% – that’s 5–10g of fragrance oil for every 100g of finished melts. Check the maximum your wax can hold.

Can I use Peppermint Creams in a reed diffuser?

Yes. Use 15–25% Peppermint Creams in a reed diffuser base such as Augeo Clean Multi. There is no IFRA limit for reed diffusers. Ready-made reed diffuser CLP labels and an SDS are in the documents above.

Can I use Peppermint Creams in soap, lotion or perfume?

  • Soap: yes – 3–6% (no IFRA limit)
  • Body lotion: yes – 0.5–1.5% (IFRA maximum 64%)
  • Face cream: yes – 0.1–0.5% (IFRA maximum 64%)
  • Perfume: yes – 5–20% (no IFRA limit)
  • Lip balm: not suitable

Soap, lotion and perfume are cosmetics, so each one needs a safety assessment (CPSR) before you sell it.

Is Peppermint Creams fragrance oil hazardous?

No. Undiluted, Peppermint Creams is not classified as hazardous under GB CLP. Full details are in its Safety Data Sheet.

Is Peppermint Creams fragrance oil flammable?

No. Its flash point is >100°C, so it isn’t classified as flammable. Like any fragrance oil, keep it away from naked flames.

Will Peppermint Creams discolour my wax?

It’s unlikely. Peppermint Creams contains no vanillin or ethyl vanillin, the most common cause of discolouration. Always test with your own wax and dyes.

Is there a CLP label for Peppermint Creams?

Yes. Our free CLP label creator makes a ready-to-print label for candles and wax melts made with Peppermint Creams, and for reed diffusers. Safety Data Sheets, IFRA certificates and label files are in the documents above.

Are your fragrance oils vegan?

Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.

Can I use them in electric diffusers or oil burners?

Most can. Where suitable:

  • Electric diffusers – add a few drops to the water, adjusting to taste.
  • Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.

How do I use the 100ml bottles?

They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
