What does Pine fragrance oil smell like?

Fresh-woody single note of pine with earthy moss undertones. Top notes: pine needles. Heart: pine woods. Base: moss.

How much Pine fragrance oil do I need for a candle?

Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Pine (about 10–20ml). There is no IFRA limit for candles. The calculator above works it out for any size.

How much Pine should I use in wax melts?

Use 5–10% – that’s 5–10g of fragrance oil for every 100g of finished melts. Check the maximum your wax can hold.

Can I use Pine in a reed diffuser?

Yes. Use 15–25% Pine in a reed diffuser base such as Augeo Clean Multi. The IFRA maximum is 74.28%. Ready-made reed diffuser CLP labels and an SDS are in the documents above.

Can I use Pine in soap, lotion or perfume?

  • Soap: yes – 3–6% (IFRA maximum 74.28%)
  • Body lotion: yes – 0.5–1.5% (IFRA maximum 53.33%)
  • Face cream: yes – 0.1–0.5% (IFRA maximum 15.71%)
  • Perfume: yes – 5–20% (no IFRA limit)
  • Lip balm: not suitable

Soap, lotion and perfume are cosmetics, so each one needs a safety assessment (CPSR) before you sell it.

Is Pine fragrance oil hazardous?

Undiluted, Pine is classified under GB CLP with the signal word Warning:

  • H317 May cause an allergic skin reaction.
  • H412 Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Is Pine fragrance oil flammable?

No. Its flash point is 95°C, so it isn’t classified as flammable. Like any fragrance oil, keep it away from naked flames.

Will Pine discolour my wax?

It’s unlikely. Pine contains no vanillin or ethyl vanillin, the most common cause of discolouration. Always test with your own wax and dyes.

Is there a CLP label for Pine?

Are your fragrance oils vegan?

Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.

Can I use them in electric diffusers or oil burners?

Most can. Where suitable:

  • Electric diffusers – add a few drops to the water, adjusting to taste.
  • Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.

How do I use the 100ml bottles?

They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
