The scent
The Baron Fragrance Oil opens with a sharp burst of pink pepper and crisp juniper, creating a confident and characterful introduction. The heart unfolds into a rich floral blend of rose, powdery violet, and earthy patchouli, adding depth and refined complexity. As it settles, warm leather, smooth woods, and soft musk form a bold and distinguished base. Elegant yet unconventional, this expressive fragrance is perfectly suited to autumn and winter collections, luxury scent ranges, and statement blends designed for bold, masculine or heritage-inspired lines.

Are your fragrance oils vegan?
Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.
Can I use The Baron in an electric diffuser or oil burner?
Yes.
- Electric water diffusers (ultrasonic or humidifier style) – fill the tank with water to the line, then add 3–5 drops per 100ml of water. Start low and add more to taste.
- Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.
Important – look after your diffuser:
- Fragrance oils are concentrated, and some plastics used in diffuser tanks can soften, cloud or crack if oil is left sitting in them. This depends on the plastic the diffuser is made from. It happens with any concentrated fragrance or essential oil, not just ours.
- Empty the tank when you’ve finished. Don’t leave water and oil sitting in it between uses.
- Rinse and wipe the tank every few uses, as fragrance oils can leave a film.
- Check your diffuser’s instructions to make sure it is suitable for fragrance oils. If it says essential oils only, or doesn’t say, ask the maker before using it.
How do I use the 100ml bottles?
They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.

I’m a huge fan of Penhaligon’s fragrances but probably, like most people, don’t have £200+ to spend on a bottle. The Duke is one of my favourites from the scent library I have, so I ordered a bottle from Pure Scented.
I’ve given it 3 stars because it’s a beautiful scent but smells absolutely nothing at all like the Penhaligon’s version. It’s not even close and that’s got nothing to do with the price either – it’s just a different scent entirely. That being said, it’s not a million miles off their Duchess Rose perfume and I love wearing it but I would be wary if you’re expecting it to smell similar to The Duke.
