Recommended amounts are starting points – always test. Incense and hanging car fresheners use the candle limit (Cat 12). Linen, fabric and car air freshener sprays use the room spray limit (Cat 10B). Bath bombs, bath salts, shower gel and body scrubs use the soap limit (Cat 9). Not recommended means the IFRA limit is too low for a good scent, not that it is banned. No fragrance oil is approved for lip products.

Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Ruby Jasmine (about 10–19ml). There is no IFRA limit for candles. The calculator above works it out for any size.

We don’t recommend it. The IFRA maximum for reed diffusers is only 9.5%, which is too low for a good scent throw.
