What does Sakura fragrance oil smell like?

How much Sakura fragrance oil do I need for a candle?
Use 5–10% of the candle’s total weight. For a 200g candle that’s 10–20g of Sakura (about 10–20ml). There is no IFRA limit for candles. The calculator above works it out for any size.
How much Sakura should I use in wax melts?
Use 5–10% – that’s 5–10g of fragrance oil for every 100g of finished melts. Check the maximum your wax can hold.
Can I use Sakura in a reed diffuser?
Yes. Use 15–25% Sakura in a reed diffuser base such as Augeo Clean Multi. The IFRA maximum is 26%. Ready-made reed diffuser CLP labels and an SDS are in the documents above.
Can I use Sakura in soap, lotion or perfume?
- Soap: yes – 3–6% (IFRA maximum 26%)
- Body lotion: yes – 0.5–1.5% (IFRA maximum 19%)
- Face cream: yes – 0.1–0.5% (IFRA maximum 5.5%)
- Perfume: yes – 5–20% (IFRA maximum 75%)
- Lip balm: not suitable

Is Sakura fragrance oil hazardous?
Undiluted, Sakura is classified under GB CLP with the signal word Warning:

- H411 Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Is Sakura fragrance oil flammable?
No. Its flash point is 88°C, so it isn’t classified as flammable. Like any fragrance oil, keep it away from naked flames.
Will Sakura discolour my wax?
It may. Sakura contains vanillin (0.01%), which can turn wax, soap and other bases cream to brown over time. Test before bulk pouring – see our vanillin guide.

Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.
Can I use them in electric diffusers or oil burners?
Most can. Where suitable:
- Electric diffusers – add a few drops to the water, adjusting to taste.
- Oil burners – mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.
How do I use the 100ml bottles?
They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
