Pure Scented Fragrance Oils are premium, UK-made fragrance oils for candles, wax melts, diffusers, soaps and cosmetics, used by thousands of makers. All are vegan friendly, cruelty free and fully IFRA & EU compliant when used within the limits on each fragrance’s IFRA certificate.

Using this fragrance

Every fragrance can be used in candles, wax melts, reed diffusers, room sprays, soaps, lotions and air fresheners, up to the maximum concentration on its IFRA certificate. Where one is shown as not suitable above, we have judged that maximum too low for the oil to perform properly — it is not prohibited. Lip balms are the exception: no fragrance oil is approved for lip products under IFRA Category 1, so they must never be used in them.

Sold by volume (ml), not weight.

Always test finished products before bulk production. Pure Scented guarantees the quality of our oils as supplied. We have no control over how they are stored, blended or used afterwards, so responsibility for the safety, compliance and labelling of your finished product rests with you as its manufacturer.

Are these oils safe for candle making?

Yes — all are IFRA & EU compliant and suitable for candles and wax melts. For diffusers, check the Ideal for and Not suitable for lines above; some fragrances have a maximum diffuser concentration too low to give a good throw.

Can I use them in soaps and cosmetics?

Many can. Check the Ideal for and Not suitable for lines above — they come from this fragrance’s own IFRA certificate. Always test first.

Are your fragrance oils vegan?

Yes. All are 100% vegan with no animal-derived ingredients.

Can I use them in electric diffusers or oil burners?

Most can — check the Not suitable for line above first. Where suitable:

  • Electric diffusers — add a few drops to the water, adjusting to taste.
  • Oil burners — mix 50/50 with dipropylene glycol (DPG), or add a few drops to water in the well.
How do I use the 100ml bottles?

They include a blind plug to prevent leaks in transit. Either pierce the centre with a pin or biro to use it as a dropper, or remove the stopper, pour, and replace the plug.
